Food

Do you love eating? What types of foods do you love to eat? I LOVE eating spaghetti. It's my favorite food. What about you? Whats your favorite food? Do you know the contents of the food you always eat? Every food you eat contains a lot of healthy and unhealthy things. For example, here's a few: Fat, Carbohydrates, Proteins, Minerals and Vitamins. Here's some notes I got from Wikipidea.

Food is any substance[1] consumed to provide nutritional support for the body. It is usually of plant or animal origin, and contains essentialnutrients, such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals. The substance is ingested by an organism and assimilated by the organism's cells in an effort to produce energy, maintain life, and/or stimulate growth.
Historically, people secured food through two methods: hunting and gathering, and agriculture. Today, most of the food energy consumed by theworld population is supplied by the food industry, which is operated by multinational corporations that use intensive farming and industrial agriculture to maximize system output.
Food safety and food security are monitored by agencies like the International Association for Food Protection, World Resources Institute, World Food Programme, Food and Agriculture Organization, and International Food Information Council. They address issues such as sustainability, biological diversity, climate change, nutritional economics, population growth, water supply, and access to food.
The right to food is a human right derived from the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR), recognizing the "right to an adequate standard of living, including adequate food", as well as the "fundamental right to be free from hunger".
Well? Done reading? Next is "Food Sources".

Almost all foods are of plant or animal origin. Cereal grain is a staple food that provides more food energy worldwide than any other type of crop. Maize, wheat, and rice - in all of their varieties - account for 87% of all grain production worldwide.[2]
Other foods not from animal or plant sources include various edible fungi, especially mushrooms. Fungi and ambient bacteria are used in the preparation of fermented and pickled foods like leavened bread, alcoholic drinks, cheese, pickles, kombucha, and yogurt. Another example is blue-green algae such as Spirulina.[3] Inorganic substances such as baking soda and cream of tartar are also used to chemically alter an ingredient.
Do you see how important food is to us? If food is important, then nature is too. Without animals, plants and water, we wont get food. Be thankful with the food you eat. Never waste them! :)
